From research done by the present owner it is likely that the van has had four previous owners. The coachwork reveals that the first was Totnes Dairies, after that it was used by Stan Payton`s Orchestras based in Torquay. According to the green duplicate log book, in 1966 it had an owner based in Exeter, and then in 1983 it was bought by the present owner. It was first registered in 1936 and was last registered for the road in 1950. When the present owner obtained the van he had the body off and painted the chassis, rear axle and the forks, a correct magneto, dynamo and carburettor was found, and a new strut above the front window was made to pattern. Three new pressed steel mudguards were also obtained and the intention was to adapt them to fit.

This is a very rare and exciting discovery as, apart from being just one of a handful of these vans left in the world, it is the only one that we know of which retains some of the period signwriting. There are a few items that will need sourcing, a battery, a windscreen and an exhaust but it is in generally good condition having been dry stored although the radiator and the fabric roof will need restoring. It comes with a V5.
